Cookie policy

1. There are no cookies here
The Emerald Table sets no HTTP cookies whatsoever. What the room does use is local storage, a browser facility that keeps a small value on your device without attaching it to every request sent to the server.
2. Entries written by this site
Two entries exist, both created by scripts served from this domain:
- xf.age.confirmed — records that you confirmed being eighteen or over, so the notice is not shown on every page.
- xf.highlow — records your chip count, current run, best run and cards turned at the Higher or Lower table.
3. The reasoning
A cookie is transmitted to the server with every request whether it is wanted or not. Local storage is not. Since your chip count is of no interest to us, storing it in the place we cannot see is simply the correct choice.
4. Clearing what is stored
Use the clear-the-felt button in the card lounge to wipe your chip count in a single click. To remove both entries entirely, clear site data for xudafemori.info in your browser. Private windows discard everything when closed.
5. Third parties
None. There are no embedded videos, maps, comment systems, hosted typefaces, tag managers or social buttons anywhere on this site, so no external party can write anything through us.
6. Why no consent banner appears
Both entries are strictly necessary for the two features described and nothing is shared with anyone. If that ever changes, the banner will appear before the change goes live rather than afterwards.
